Production Manager / Trainee Production Manager

Location: Derwen Joinery, Wrexham LL13 8UG

Salary: Competetive hourly rate dependent on experience

Job Type: Permanent,Full-time

 Derwen Joinery is offering a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Production Manager or a skilled Bench Joiner / Wood Machinist ready to progress into management.

This is a flexible role designed to suit your experience level in which you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality joinery products whilst contributing to our forward-thinking, advanced manufacturing journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crafting high-quality doors, windows, and bespoke joinery products
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Operating, maintaining, and overseeing woodworking machinery and tools
  • Maintaining exceptional quality standards across all production
  • Managing or progressing into managing day-to-day production operations
  • Working closely with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification

 

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their careers. This role is suited to both experienced individuals with a proven background in a Production Manager or supervisory position, as well as those from a bench joinery or wood machining background who are keen to progress into management. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership or the potential to develop these skills, alongside excellent organisational ability, a high level of attention to detail, and genuine pride in their workmanship. A positive, team-focused attitude is essential, as is a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
