Bespoke Joinery Products for Farmhouse

Over a two-year period, Derwen Joinery Ltd worked closely with a private client on a beautiful farmhouse in rural Cheshire, delivering a wide range of bespoke joinery items tailored to the property’s character and functionality. From flush casement Tritus windows to 3.6m tall barn doors for housing horse boxes, each product was crafted to suit both the traditional setting and the client’s practical needs.

Derwen Joinery manufactured framed ledge & brace farmhouse style door sets for one of the newly constructed buildings. The door frames were detailed with Ovolo mouldings to match the window styling used elsewhere on the property, creating a unified and considered finish.

The client required large, robust doors in which Derwen Joinery manufactured two impressive double barn doors, each standing 3.6m tall and made from durable Sapele hardwood. These doors featured an arched top rail to complement the brick arch above, with glazing to allow natural light into the space. The doors were hung on pins set directly into the brickwork and a custom top hinge was fabricated to follow the curvature of the arch, ensuring strength without compromising on visual appeal.

Two sets of traditional boarded farm doors for vehicle access and a single arched pedestrian door, all finished in a Teknos Traffic Black coating for durability were also supplied.

To complete the building, Derwen Joinery manufactured flush casement Tritus windows, each styled with Ovolo mouldings and finished in a crisp White Teknos coating. These were complemented with high-quality hardware, chosen for both its performance and timeless appearance.
